Setting
The setting in Bud, Not Buddy is Flint and Grand Rapids, Michigan, during the Great Depression. During this time many people did not have jobs and food was scarce. Bud traveled to and stayed in a place nicknamed, the Grand Calloway Station. It was a huge place, with many bedrooms. The one that Bud slept in had ponies pinned up on the wall, a bed with 2 sheets, 2 closets, and a dresser with a mirror.
